Scott and Mariam | Dazzling sunset Engagement photos

We all met up in the early evening to catch those warm summer colors for a delightful engagement shoot. Scott and Mariam immediately started cracking up and having fun in front of the camera. One couldn’t miss the fact that they are head over heels in love. It was perhaps a bit hot outside but they rocked the engagement session regardless! At the very end of the shoot the sunset graced the lovely couple and wowed us all with its vibrant shades of reds and oranges.

Rainbows & Engagements | Randy and Jenna

a few months ago, we had the pleasure of meeting Randy & Jenna over Starbucks coffee. the interesting part about this initial visit is that it was Randy's FIRST time ever in a Starbucks!! whoaaaaa! we felt honored to share in this experience with him. many laughs were had & we were instant friends! next thing we knew, we were playing in the fields doing an engagement session of these two lovebirds. while we were shooting, a surprise thunderstorm entered the scene. before we escaped to our dry cars, we noticed an epic full-length rainbow in the background and couldn't leave without snapping a few shots! braving the giant rain drops, we were able to snag a few more photos before the downpour unleashed itself. as you can see, it was definitely worth it!!!

The Yellow Flowers ENVELOPED Them....

The flowers were in full bloom as they radiantly lit the field that enveloped this lovely couple. The sky even transformed from a gloomy morning to a fantastic sunset for Ryan & Ashley's engagement session! We enjoyed getting to know them, hearing their stories & laughing with them. I had previously met Ryan while doing a photo shoot for his band Portraits of Dale this past fall. They sneaked in a visit to Ashley's hometown of Franklin, TN for a bit of wedding planning and a chance for us to snag some amazing photos of these two!

Although we would love to shoot their wedding, we were already booked on their wedding date and have not yet figured out the superhero power of duplication.:) BUT thankfully one of our awesome Bloom Photographers, Shannon, is available and is the perfect fit for them.

shhh...suprise DC engagement shoot = awesomeness

the DC proposal - gabi & cat

the only time i was more nervous about a proposal was when i asked my wife tammy to marry me. gabi contacted me to take engagement photos of he and his soon to be fiance, cat, with a special twist to the request...not only would i surprise his fiance by giving her & gabi an exclusive photography lesson as part of this special day but i would also help initiate the moment that would cue gabi to drop a knee and pop the question. whew what an honor! and of course as the best engagement stories go...she said "yes!" DC couldn't have been more stunning with the blend of fall colors enveloped in the magnificent scenic background of this couple's engagement spot.
