When flying to Canada, don't forget...

YOUR PASSPORT!!!! :)

On the evening of our anniversary, we arrived at the Nashville airport Canada bound to shoot another Doner family wedding! (We don't typically accept jobs on important dates but when the clients are amazing friends of course we will sometimes make an exception!) Since we fly domestically often without a passport, it completely slipped Tammy's mind that she would need it for a short 1.5 hour flight to Toronto... well we soon realized that she didn't have hers and there wasn't enough time to go back home to retrieve it and still make the flight. the pressure was on. would we spend the rest of our anniversary together or apart?

I called one of our best buds Nick Ray with ModerNash.com and asked if it was at all possible for him to drop whatever he was doing, break into my house, grab Tammy's passport and rush it to the airport so we could make our flight. because he is that awesome he flew over there without hesitation and with literally only 3-4 minutes before the plane would take off, we boarded the flight...a very sweaty pair indeed...but we made it! what a blessing to have such dedicated friends that will be there for you anytime. thanks Nick! it was a joy to see our good friends the Doners that night and spend the next morning with them before their son's wedding. The wedding was AMAZING and we can't wait to share the photos from it!

we had a blast celebrating our 4th anniversary at one of our favorite restaurants, J. Alexander's and watching the epic flick, Iron Man 2!

on Sunday we were reminded to LIVE LIFE SPONTANEOUSLY when our next door neighbors and great friends Matt and Hilary Barnett asked us last minute if we wanted to see a movie with them. we said why not? in order to make the movie though, we would have to leave right away and were already relaxed and in our pajamas for the night. what did we do? well we went to the movie in our PJs of course...

4 years ago today...

we walked barefoot on a sandy beach and said "I do"...the ironic reality is that we never actually said “I do” in our vows.... figuratively we did but somehow the two words that we had jokingly expressed we wouldn’t forget were missing from the ceremony script. we exchanged our vows at the altar and just after the beautiful kiss moment we smiled & whispered to the minister…we never said I do.:) But in our hearts, where it mattered most, is where we pledged it…”I DO”. Forever. To each other. To us. To love, life, companionship, dreams, hopes, fears, adventures, romance, joy, pain. Through the good and the bad, the laughs and the tears, the successes and failures. We would fight for US through the trials and storms. be each other’s top cheerleader. Encourage each other. Protect each other. LOVE. It has been an amazing 4 years of learning how to really live this thing called marriage out. Learning to be completely transparent, honest and vulnerable is not always easy but is necessary to have a healthy strong marriage relationship. To live life from the heart & dream together has been an exciting challenge. An incredible journey where we are continually discovering new things about who we are, where we’re going, how to love and be all that God has created us to be. We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for our relationship with God and allowing Him to continually change us and be first in our lives. We are thankful for amazing friends & family that have walked with us along the way. Your spouse is worth fighting for, believing in and loving daily.

it has been a fantastic ride... we will walk barefoot on many more beaches with each other and say little soft "I Dos" forever.

We just picked up an amazing marriage book that we highly recommend to married folks if you want to grow even deeper and “find the marriage you’ve dreamed of” as the book portrays….check it out!

Brandon and Jenny say "forever" in the midst of the storm

big thanks to our dear friend and former bride Rachel Crosby for having an awesome sister, Jenny...the beautiful bride to be!

the forecast was 100% rain in Hendersonville, TN on Brandon & Jenny's big day. you would have never known as Jenny was just as relaxed as if it was sunny and 75 outside. with her amazing sister and mother handling all the details, she knew everything would come together and at the end of the day she would be married to Brandon enveloped in the presence and love of dear friends and family. we LOVE it when our brides are this chill and sweet!

thankfully, the sky opened up in between the ceremony & reception to take some pretty darn awesome portraits. i mean how could you not get anything but AWESOME with this charming couple?! the reception was a never ending party as brandon's friends were everything but reluctant to take the mic and sing their favorite song karaoke style to the entire reception hall while all the girls and others danced the night away.

what a fabulous group! congrats to Jenny & Brandon! you two were fabulous! we wish you guys the best!

ah Looooove!!:)

Flexing seemed to be the fun theme of the day as Jenny had done a great job of working out before the wedding. Who wouldn't be proud of those guns?!
